Give tenants a clear view of what’s happening in your building with new Calendar

For real estate operators and property managers, a tenant app is more than a place to post updates. It is a key part of tenant communication, tenant engagement, and day-to-day relationship management across the building community. In Chainels, the Timeline has always been a great place to share updates, but when you’re managing lots of different time-based moments, it helps to see them in a dedicated, at-a-glance view. That’s why we’ve designed the Chainels Calendar: a navigable, categorised space that brings every event, booking, maintenance window, and key deadline together.

Show tenants a building that runs smoothly

A clear calendar helps tenants plan around the moments that affect their day, from community events and maintenance windows to key deadlines such as turnover reporting. It gives them a simple way to understand what is planned, what needs their attention, and what may impact their routine. For example, a tenant who knows about scheduled elevator maintenance in advance is in a much better position than one who finds out when they are already running late.

What's new

  • Custom calendar feeds. Managers create named, colour-coded feeds such as "Community Events", "Maintenance", or "Peak Trading Days", so every entry lands in the right context.
  • A dedicated Calendar page. A navigable, agenda-style view replaces the old redirect to My Timeline.
  • Multi-day events and start times. Events spanning several days display as a continuous block, and start times are now visible for the first time.
  • A home screen widget. Upcoming events surface on the homepage, so nothing gets buried in the feed.

Build trust through clearer communication

From a tenant relationship management perspective, the Calendar helps property teams move from one-off announcements to a more consistent communication experience. Tenants are not only told about individual updates, they are given a clear rhythm of what is planned across the building. That consistency can help build trust, because tenants know where to find relevant information and can plan around the moments that affect them.

For property managers and real estate operators, this creates value beyond day-to-day communication. A well-maintained Calendar can make the building feel more active, transparent, and professionally managed, while giving tenants more opportunities to engage with the community around them. Over time, that clarity can support how tenants perceive the building, the service they receive, and the operator behind it.
