A faster, clearer Timeline for tenant communication
When Chainels works on a release, it is always with a clear vision of what a modern technology product should be. A tenant experience platform only creates value if tenants and managers actually use it. That means every update needs to be useful, usable, and feel like the kind of apps people already open every day.

Think about it this way. If your Netflix homepage took too long to appear you would stop using it as much. If finding a song in Spotify took too many steps you would get frustrated and listen less often. People always gravitate toward what feels easy and gets the job done. The same applies here. Tenants and managers will only engage with a tenant experience platform if it meets the same expectations.

That is why the Timeline has been reworked. It is faster, simpler, and more intuitive. These changes reflect the way we think about product at Chainels. We aren't just adding features. We build in a way that keeps the platform in line with user expectations so it remains part of their daily routine.

What's New: 

A cleaner look

• The Timeline is now a single column instead of two. It feels more natural, like scrolling a social feed, and makes it easier to focus on one update at a time.
• Extra items like photos, files, and community logos have been removed so the view stays clear and only shows what matters.
• Even the channel sliders have been refreshed so moving between them feels smoother and more consistent.

A smoother feel

• We have combined channel actions into a single place so it takes fewer steps to choose who should see your updates.
• Messages can be opened in full without leaving the Timeline, which makes it easier to follow longer posts.
• A new side view shows who received a message and when, so you can check details at a glance. 

A stronger function

• It is now quicker to see how many people have read a message because the statistics sit right next to the post.
• Sharing is simpler too. Press Share and the link is copied automatically.

Scheduled messages show up on the right side where they are easy to review, and drafts or scheduled channels only appear when they contain content. 

The timeline has been a feature in the Chainels platform from the very start and along the way it grew in complexity and also contained more and more legacy code. With this refactor we have completely rewritten the timeline to our main frontend framework React; making it faster, easier to maintain and ready for the future."

The newly released Timeline was made to so tenants can move through updates one by one without distraction and managers can spend less time clicking through menus to get the details they need. 

The refactor also strengthens the foundation of the product. It keeps Chainels modern and reliable today while giving our team the flexibility to release new improvements more quickly.
